RE: Requesting pardon for Joshua Thompson #1208296
and Caleb Thompson #1208295
Dear Governor Perry,
It seems simple to state what might be obvious to you already: ever since Joshua and Caleb have been incarcerated, I’ve wanted to tell you what these men means to me and how badly I want them released from prison. Even now, as I write, my mind is whirling with what I might possibly say that would cause you to grant my request for pardon. I could tell you of their character and tenderness, I could tell you how that Joshua and Caleb’s case was tried by the media before it reached the court room, I could promise that their release would be more profitable to the state of Texas than their incarceration, and I could bring hundreds of witnesses from around the world to testify of our love and desire to see Joshua and Caleb brought back into society; but this would take days to write and compile. Even the short length of this letter might be overlooked for it’s insignificance, but I set forth my plea as a close friend. I’ve visited my Representative, I’ve visited with knowledgeable people in the Capitol, I’ve heard them say it is impossible and that we should just get comfortable with supporting my Joshua and Caleb while they serve their time; but I must ask. I must try! I know that according to the Texas Government Code, Section 508.050 –Report to Governor, it says that you can request to the Pardon and Parole Board a person for pardon, commutation of sentence, reprieve, remission of fine, or forfeiture. I only hope and wish that you might be willing to take the political risk involved to pardon Joshua and Caleb Thompson. I do not expect it or demand it; I simply and deeply plead for their release.
Sincerly,

RE: Requesting pardon for Joshua Thompson #1208295 and
Caleb Thompson #1208295
Dear Mr President,
I am requesting pardon for Caleb Thompson and Joshua Thompson. My witness of both Caleb and Joshua is that of kindness, generosity, compassion, and sincerity. I've known Joshua and Caleb Thompson________ and my admiration for their character has only grown the longer I've known them.
I believe with all my heart Caleb and Joshua never desired to cause harm, and I know it would never ever happen again. They have both learned a harsh lesson and reality.
I ask you to deeply consider the lose it is to have them locked away and consider the benefit it would be to have these kind, loving, prayerful, and wiser men among us. There is no doubt in my mind if you were to meet Caleb and Joshua that your response would be like many other: admiration for their shining spirits, hard work, and authenticity. Letters from their fellow prisoners reveal that these hardened criminals find it strange that Caleb and Joshua are locked away. And these men hope and pray for Caleb and Joshua’s release.
I know that as free men they would continue with kindness, and sincerity with the added attribute of the solemn smart of wisdom in their every action. By the knowledge of my testimony and your good judgment as President of this nation I am pleading for the pardon or clemency of these two precious men.
With upmost sincerity,
